Some of the Most Famous Places in India to Visit

India is a big country and also, it has numerous places to attract tourists. With so many different kinds of cultural taste, traditions, historical monuments, museums, natural beauty, floral and fauna diversity and the glorious history of the past, it is difficult to plan such a trip so that you are able to explore all these things in one go. If you are planning for the first time to tour India, then it becomes more difficult. Today in this article, we will guide you on how to plan your trip such that you can explore most of India in just two weeks.

NEW DELHI - Day 1-3

You should start your trip from the capital City-New Delhi. Being an important part of history, this place has some of the most famous monuments like Rajghat, Humayun Tomb, Nizamuddin, India Gate, Red Fort, Rashtrapati Bhavan along with excellent architectural works like Lotus temple and the Qutub Minar. This will take around 2 days.

On the third day, you can visit Agra and explore the world-famous Taj Mahal. This Indian monument is amongst the 'Seven Wonders of the World' and you must definitely not miss this.

RAJASTHAN - DAY 4-5

Next day from Agra, head towards the 'Pink City of India'/- Jaipur. You can explore many magnificent artworks, ancient architectural work, and the famous Rajasthani culture and food. From Jaipur, it will take you 6 to 7 hours to reach Udaipur where you can explore more places like Taj Lake Palace, Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, Oberoi Udaivilas and Shiv Niwas Palace Heritage Hotel.

MUMBAI- DAY 6-7

You can take a flight to Mumbai where you can explore another aspect of India. With so many famous Indian monuments like Gateway of India, BMC Building, Ballard Estate and beautiful beaches, Mumbai will be the most iconic place as it is also the hub of the film industry. Never miss Marine Drive and the south Bombay where you have famous places to visit like Jehangir Art Gallery.

GOA - DAY 8-10

If you are touring in India then, how can you miss this place? From Mumbai, you can easily reach North Goa where you can enjoy the most beautiful beaches of India and the nightlife, clubs, parties and a completely different ambience from the rest of the places. This can take upto 2 days. Then, explore South Goa and its beaches and the Karwar region.

SOUTH INDIA- DAY 11-14

From Goa, you can come to Kochi to explore a perfect blend of modernity and nature. After exploring places like Kochi Harbour, the next day, you can head towards Alleppey, Kerala. Backwaters of Alappuzha can't be missed!

On the 13th day, arrive in Chennai and explore famous temples like Kapileshwar, Parthasarathy and magnificent colonial buildings like High Court, Ripon Building, Fort St. George, etc.

On the 14th day, come to Mahabalipuram and enjoy the scenic beauty and the famous Rock-Cut Temple which is a perfect example of Tamil architect and is also in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Then, you can head back to Chennai from where it will be easy to get transportation to reach your home back.

You must understand one thing that in such a short period, you can only enjoy from the top and not the whole of India but, it will be an amazing experience!
