Why I Decided To Write The "For Dummies" Series About CPS
On the 14th of last month, I decided to write and tell about my experiences being a mother who survived CPS. I made this decision based on the previous struggle I and my husband had when we encountered CPS. After many days of contemplating on how to help others who will face CPS just as we did, I decided one of the best way was to write about my experience. I tell of my experiences to new mothers, families and anyone who gives me the opportunity to. I feel writing a blog on a place like Steemit is also a way to connect my ideas to the world.
I am not a good writer, I am very far from good. So, please bear with me when I don't write pretty, I work as a Decorator and 'color' is the major language I am good at.
I decided to write about my experiences because only this way I can really help those people out there who are ready to listen. Unfortunately, many people are not ready to listen. My post are for those who are ready to listen to a Survival Like me and perhaps others who don't want to listen to me might end up listening. That would be so good, if only we all could Listen to the people who have been ringing the bells of awareness.
What Is Behind The For "Dummies Series"
The first person to give me good counsel was a woman in her late 50s. I narrated what was happening in my home and my case with CPS. She told me "Don't trust the MDHHS, only a dummy would do that. My own daughter was a dummy and I lost my grandchild". After saying that, she looked at me and asked "Or are you a dummy too?", I quickly replied her with a question, "What can I do?". This is the best way I can recollect my meeting with her, but the message she was sending to me with that question was perhaps the ANSWER i needed.
Deep down, I pondered on what we discussed, I knew that I was a Dummy. It wasn't something I was ashamed of though, because from that moment on, CPS knew that I was shedding off my ignorance, I began to see everything through all their craftiness.
I Was Proud To Come To Knowledge Of My Naivety
Coming to know that you "KNOW NOTHING" is the answer every family is looking for. For you to stop being a dummy, you need to recognize your dummy state. For you to "KNOW" you have to come to peace that you "KNOWING NOTHING".
Why The "For Dummies" Series?
First and foremost, the dummy series is based on my personal experience with CPS and also the experiences of the many families I met along the way who were battling CPS too.
Secondly, after writing my first four post here on steemit, I got some comment from someone who argued that CPS was a for-evergreen group. I realized that person was among those who Don't Know and where ready to stay that way. I posted the links of those posts on my twitter and facebook account, I received good responses, and some were very glad to have read it. But some thought and argued the perfect state of CPS.
Since then, I have written my "For Dummies" Series, and I have learnt more from others who commented here on steemit. I wouldn't say I am an expert at CPS issues, I am far from that!. But I am ready to learn even more from those who have been dealing with CPS for years, for this reason, I am no Dummy at all.
My dummy series is filled with my family experiences with CPS, what my kids passed through, the harms, the trauma, the hurt, the all.
Conclusion
I might not be a pro, it might even be I still have some grains of naivety , but one thing I can confidently say is; I am a dummy who survived CPS, I am a Survival!. you can be too if you ever get into a situation where you are dealing with CPS. Don't be a dummy like me, please save yourself the stress, pain, confusion and tears that CPS launch unto families. Don't wait till you are a Victim before you learn it all, Learn your rights, power, and ways to deal with CPS today. Don't learn by experience like me.
A good place to start is under the @familyprotection account. If I had met a community like this in the first place, I wouldn't be writing from the bad experiences I had, I wouldn't have even let CPS get a pound flesh off me and my home.
Well, I'm glad that you are here telling your story. THANK-YOU!
I will keep telling it.
My next post will be about my experience in the hospital when I had my youngest child.
