Family Protection PROGRESS REPORT -- 28 Days Later!
Governments around the world, are using "Child Protection Agencies" to take children away from loving families and place them in foster care or group homes.
THESE FAMILIES NEED PROTECTING.
Children are placed in Foster Homes that are often cold or abusive.
Vulnerable families are targeted, including but not limited to:
..single parents,
..parents with limited funds,
..parents of special needs children,
..homeschoolers and religious families.
"Family Protection" has been created to protect and support families who find themselves under the scrutiny of Child Protection Services, bring awareness, and to join forces with others via the blockchain.
We will also be raising crypto funds to one day assist families with their legal fees and costs incurred in fighting to get their children back home to their caring families.
28 days after starting, we seem to be accomplishing our goals!
Nearly 200 followers and around $640 raised so far.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported @familyprotection.
To start off with we would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who have been writing their stories and using the #familyprotection tag.
This is a great way to spread awareness and it also gives people a place to go and find these stories as they are not featured on mainstream news outlets.

When it comes time to make decisions on how to spend our funds, we will ask for input from those who have donated time or crypto to the @familyprotection.
We believe this should be the way of all charities; that funds are transparent, on the blockchain and how funds are used should involve all who helped build the foundation.
How we implement this is yet to be determined, but we believe it to be achievable.
What have we achieved so far?
The fact that we have any support at all, shows that this is a problem, but the fact that we have received such a HUGE response tells us that we are well on track, and that one day, we will make a difference!
This is such a great project and one that I support wholeheartedly. Being a mum who home educates her children and lives an alternative lifestyle, that has minimal impact with the system, I cannot ignore the fact that my family could be targeted, like many others out there. Thanks so much for starting this up.
Thank you Aishlinn! We appreciate the support, it feels great that so many people are on board with this.
It seems that we are all targets the minute we try to live alternative life's, we are going against the grain and that's not what they want.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Bless.
Keep the great job going....really good initiative bringing awareness to a very important issue affecting families....with the power of the Steem blockchain your initiative can have positive impact on these families
Thank you @daudimitch
Your support for this project is very important and appreciated.
The power of the Steemit Blockchain is limitless, our initiative is just another example of how versatile this system really is.

With all the opportunities I can see by using the Steemit blockchain platform I believe @familyprotection is the best and sets an incredible example for what can be done in the future to help us all. Look forward to the day when this platform has a few of the bugs worked out, for example taking nearly 45 seconds to simply upvote a post and 3 or 4 tried to get a reply posted, but am hoping after SteemFest that the dev's decide to focus on the platform to make it easier to use for the Steemian community.
But for now we Steem on the best we can.
Let peace be the journey,

Wow, Thank you @vickiebarker for your lovely compliment, it really has the potential to be an example of how things should be done.
I agree with you on the glitch front, it really slows everything down, must be fixed and soon.
Thanks for supporting us @vickiebarker
This is absolutely a noble initiative andtruly deserves the much needed attention. I first came to know of this initiative from Linda @canadian-coconut and since then am following @familyprotection . Would surely love to be a part of this drive to save innocent children and families from falling apart. In this busy world, very few people indeed stop by and think of such initiative's to be taken and am pleased to see this in both of you. Keep up the great work you have initiated and please do let me kmow if i can be of any assistance. Upvoted, resteemed and following u as always.

This news warms my heart, it shows that we share a common goal. I will dedicate my time, my heart and strength to this project, it is a far noble cause than we can possibly imagine. Some of my folks i spoke to about this project have promised to get involved. @markwhittam and @canadian-coconut, you both are awesome!
I have enjoyed reading these stories lately. Well, not enjoyed but appreciated people getting the word out. I have encountered some of these issues in the past and we know families who have moved to Panama because of it. I just wrote about the reason we homeschool and it includes something that happened at school to a family close to us. The power all these people in "authority" have is scary.
Family is very important for children's without families thier life feels lonely. You guys are doing good @familyprotection well-done.
Hi @familyprotection ,
