The Voiceless Ones
Before i go on, i would hereby declare that 30% of the earnings on this post will go to @familyprotection in furtherance of the campaign against Child Protective Service. This is my humble contribution to support @familyprotection .
The worse thing that can happen to a parent is to lose custody of his/her child to the whims of the CPS. Once your child is taken from you as a result of an intervention by CPS ,they are taken from your parental custody for a not stipulated period of time and you may or may not get to see them or talk to them. Not forgetting the fact that some of such children may not fare well or suffer in foster care and may be gone forever.
CPS has destroyed and devastated several homes since the creation of the CAPTA Law in 1973 ,thereby leaving a trail of broken homes, dreams, hearts and shattered childhood.
They attack low income earners and threaten them, out of fear, these threatened parents let them into their homes and that is it.
Here is the view of a father who struggled with accusations from the CPS about his fitness for parenting;
The point is we have an unaccountable bureaucracy with the power to take people's children from them operating (necessarily) below the radar and parents like us who have been terrorized but have nowhere to go or to even register meaningful complaints. (Believe me, we tried.) If it's done in the name of "the children" and "the law," there's no way to fight back. There seems to be no way to change the progressive tendency to take parenting away from parents. They always know better.
Moreso, there are situations where because of shame or fear of stirring up more dust, this parent just keep quiet, dying quietly from the hurt of losing their children. They have made parents more like criminal and communicated the message that parents are incapable of raising their own, that the government knows better.
These parents, especially the low income earners have no voice and no one to speak on their behalf and so they suffer in silence.
Fighting the CPS in their court with their law is very unwise as they are backed by the law and dominate the family courts. Moreso, low income earning families who are mostly the victims of the CPS are not capable of getting lawyers to speak on their behalf and win back their children custody.
The CPS are bigger and stronger, they are financially sponsored by the government, they have the backing of the law, they own the family courts and they run the foster care system. All this arsenals are then channelled at one helpless family, all because they want to steal their child.
Now who speaks for those voiceless parents, as they struggle to bear the pain of losing their children. Who will they tell, who will champion their cause, who will become the voice of the voiceless or should they die on in silence while CPS thrives on in terrorizing parents and stealing their God-given rights.
The answer is @familyprotection and her writers, we are the voice of this voiceless parents. The world has to come to a knowledge of this injustice meted out to parents. I tell you, don't derive comfort that it's not happening in your country, state, city or community. Wisdom says:
Fight a battle while it is still afar off, don't let the war come to your doorstep before you awake from slumber. Fight from where you are.
Do not forget the world is a "Global village" ,the fact it's not at your doorstep yet doesn't mean,it ain't coming,it's on it journey there!
You might not be a writer but you can still support the activities of @familyprotection with your donations and prayers.
Friends, this is War!
Moreso, in response to @markwhittam call in his post for suggestions on a more effective way to fight this war. Most times the reason the CPS agents are capable of influencing these parents either with threat or whatever means is because to a large extent they not know their rights and the full context of the law which the CPS manipulate to commit this mayhem against the family institution. I suggest that enlightenment seminars, awareness campaigns and fund-raisers to support suffering families be organised.
Knowledge is Power!
I would love to share some tips i found about how to handle the CPS when they come knocking
First, remember that you do NOT have to let them into your house. You do not have to let anyone in your house unless they have a warrant to be in your house. You can politely decline them entering your home, without sounding defensive or like you have something to hide. Remember to politely let them know they are not allowed to enter and DO NOT GIVE YOUR CONSENT for them to enter. If they have a warrant, let them in.
Second, remember these are professional individuals and being polite and showing respect will go a long ways. I have read too many reports where my client became belligerent, rude, and nasty to CPS workers and I can tell you first hand, this WILL NOT help your case. Even if you are angry (you may have the right to be angry) remember to stay calm and be respectful.
Third, exercise your right to remain silent. This isn’t like on the COPS show where you should just stay 100% silent, because that too will not help your case in this situation. However, please remember that everything you say and do could be spun and turned around and possibly used against you later. Don’t volunteer information, ever! Don’t try to dig yourself out of a hole or try to tell the worker what you think they want to hear. Simply answer questions as basic as possible and remember you can remain silent.
Next, be sure you ask for their information. Who are these people and who are they affiliated with? Sometimes you have “CPS workers,” sometimes you have “NFC workers,” sometimes you have “DHHS workers” and sometimes you have police officers. Ask for their identification, ask for their names, ask for their business card, and phone numbers, and write down this information for your records.
Finally, call your attorney. If you have an attorney, call them immediately and let them know what is going on. Your attorney will know how to handle the situation and can even speak to the individuals present to help protect your rights.
Always remember that not all calls to the CPS hotline come back as “founded”. Many times cases come back as “unfounded” and it ends there. Don’t get defensive, don’t try to cover things up, and seek advice from an attorney if this occurs.
Give this helpless parents a voice today. A big thank you to @familyprotection for rolling this ball and also giving me an opportunity to be soldier in this war against injustice. I would further love reiterate my earlier mentioned decision to give 30% of the earnings on this post to the @familyprotection, as my little contribution to support this cause. I also want to thank @canadian-coconut and @markwhittam for the good work they are doing. I can't also forget to appreciate @healingherb because it was her works that opened mybeyes my eyes to this injustice. Moreso, i want to thank all followers of my blog and visitors for their supports. You are all amazing!

One of the most painrthings than can happen to a parent is losing your child. Although yes, some parents are unfit to be parents and the kids are better off with someone calmer, but in situations where fit parents are threatened just because they are low income earners or CPS think they can, it becomes a problem.
In such a case I also support the campaign against them and their activities.
Yeah.....thank you.
