How Parenthood Changed My Life

in #family6 years ago

The question "How has parenthood changed your life?" was shared to me by @marillaanne, who found it from @alimamasstory, who originally got it from @iamjadeline. In this video I share just 2 of the ways its impacted me.

A little clarification, a molar pregnancy is a miscarriage that happens in the beginning at the cell division. They don't divide correctly causing the growth of cells but not organized into a baby. My complication happened when the cells intended to be the placenta actually embedded into the lining of my uterus instead of just attaching like normal. The methotrexate chemo was necessary to suppress the making of cells in my body to cause the cells in my uterus to die off and not multiply more. I had injections weekly for 12 weeks. It was protocol then to wait a year before getting pregnant to allow the chemo to be out of the system. I got intentionally pregnant with my first daughter almost an exact year of my last treatment.

My husband had a year's treatment of chemo in pill form. It's protocol to wait 6 months after the last dose before trying to get pregnant. I got pregnant at the end of the six month wait. For a little more about that pregnancy experience, read here: https://steemit.com/family/@violetjoy/we-were-warned-you-likely-won-t-have-any-other-children

If you have pets, do you brush off dropped food & still eat it? Or are we alone in this choice?

I'm curious how parenthood has changed you, let me know in the comments below or link up a video reply.

Aww... This definitely sets as a reminder for me. I thought I knew this but along the way I forgot about it again that our children mimic us.

How we react, how we speak, they are watching and they are absorbing.

You and your husband are strong and I am sure will be a strong pillar to your daughters. I have two sons and I need to keep remind myself not to overreact when they fight or scream at each other.

Love your true honest sharing. I hope both of you and husband are better now in health. And it will get better.

Being a parent is a great blessing...indeed. I absolutely love God's timing. Never too late. Never too early. Always the best. :) ❤️

Share more with us your life as a parent. We all can learn from one another. Hugs.
