I'm a Proud Dad: My son worked hard, saved and bought himself a laptop (age 13)
Today my son Riley received his second tech purchase this year using money he earned and I couldn't be prouder of him. He delivers our local news paper twice a week and barely makes $30 every two weeks. It took him a long time to save (combined the money he earned with birthday money) but he did it. He now has a Dell Laptop and an iPhone that he purchased and a sound understanding of what working hard is and the value of money. He even had enough left over to treat the family to a breakfast at IHOP last wk. An action that set a great example for his younger brother (Drew 11) who used part of the money he had been saving to take us out to IHOP too a few days later.
As a dad you hope that your words and actions are listened too and followed but you never really know until they are older. I am so proud of the hardworking, generous, responsible young men both my boys are turning in to.

Congrats on raising some great kids. We need entrepreneurial, industrious and money-savvy types if we stand a shred of a chance in the global economy going forward. You should be proud.
