(My Beautiful Mom)

I’m 32, which basically means my mother cried 32 years back. Her scream and pain, and the trouble she took to give me life- a life out of her own, begins 32 years back.

A week back, I was in a party with my friends and we were drinking.

As we started getting tipsy, and nearing to get drunk, our topic of conversation was ‘Mother’.

Ashish, a friend of mine recalls, “I was going through a Facebook history whereby I did put up a status 9 years ago saying about a little dispute with my Mom. I saw Jeetendra’s comment. So, I wanted to check the conversation that we had 9 years back”.
I asked, “So, what was there?”
He said, “Ashish, go and talk to your mother. Tell her sorry. Her blessings will never make you down”.
‘And’
‘And, I went up to her bed, touched her feet and asked for her forgiveness’.

And, then he added “Today, as I go through the conversation, and I as I recall my late mother, I feel contented. I’d lament a big way, had I not talked to her that day”.

Steemians, I haven’t seen my Dad crying, and which is what I don’t want to see. I am sure his tears will make me weak.
I’d never want my mother to cry either.

I look at them. I see them growing old. And, I see that their wishes and desires disappearing out of their vision. They have put up their effort, all throughout their life to fulfill their children’s desire.

Now that, as I look at my mother who is but an illiterate, I try sometimes looking at the world through her perspective.
A question runs.
‘What do my mother thinks of the world? Does she know how big this world is? Did she ever dream of travelling around the world? What is she thinking right now?

I am a bachelor still.
And, I started to dream of my children.

And then, I took a solemn pledge.

I’ll fulfill my parent’s wish- a wish that they couldn’t fulfill or something that they couldn’t even dream of. Let my children fulfill mine. I have more years than my parents to live on earth and see the world around.
That happiness, I wish to see in them. Its then, I want to see my Mother crying. And, this time, with the same feeling of love and joy, the joy of giving me birth.

AND, DON'T MAKE YOUR PARENTS CRY!
