My grandfather's passport when coming through Ellis Island
This is my papou's passport stamped on arrival from Greece to Ellis Island to begin his new life in America in 1952. I think it's pretty cool to have. I didn't know this guy, I knew the proud grandfather who called me his sparrow and his flower basket.
Now I also know the life, family, and legacy he built from this date up until his death in '02. I think the young Nick Marinos I see in this picture would be astounded and so proud.
I'm in tears. That's beautiful beyond words. Thank you.
WOW! very cool
