The arrest of a Chinese citizen in America sold fake iPhone phones worth 1.1 million dollars

A Chinese man named Jianhua Jeff Li, 43, was arrested after he sold a large number of iPhone and ipad counterfeit phones in the United States with a total value of $ 1.1 million. He admitted yesterday to a local court in the city New Jersey .

The story began after Jianhua Li and his accomplices smuggled more than 40,000 devices into America between July 2009 and February 2014, all of which were iPhones and imitation iPads that earned over $ 1.1 million.
The evidence in the court revealed that the Chinese citizen, who lives in the United States of America, smuggled these devices after receiving assistance from a number of customs officials. After entering the United States, they were falsified and shipped to markets in America where sold to consumers.
After the confession of Jianhua and Li Li, three of the participants in the process were sentenced to 37 months in prison while the remainder is expected in May 2018.
