Hard Workers Stories, Rich Merchants and Cats
Once upon a time there lived a wealthy merchant, he had no children and no wife, only three servants who had worked for him for years. One day he said to his three helpers that he would give his wealth to anyone who managed to bring the best horse.
Of the three servants was the youngest named Aji. He was a hard worker while the other two thought he was stupid. Aji apparently wanted to also participate in the search. Finally the three of them began to wander together. When they reached the neighboring village, the two men asked Aji why not stay, but he wanted to keep wandering.
They then went on their way. The night when they arrived at a cave, the two servants waited for Aji to sleep and then they left him secretly. The next day Aji awoke alone. He tried to keep looking for the horse in his confusion. Suddenly he saw a cat who greeted him kindly.
The cat knows Aji's purpose and says he can give the best horse as long as he is willing to serve the cat and his family for seven years. Aji also approved the offer.
Now Aji is at the cat palace to work to serve the cat family faithfully. Every day he is in charge of cutting wood. During his life at the palace he always eats well and never sees anything other than a cat.
When seven years passed, the cat ordered him to make a small house of silver. When Aji finishes his promise to get a horse, the cat opens the door of the little house and stands twelve very fine horses. So firm and clean. Aji is very excited. The cat gave Aji food and drinks and told him to go home first. The horse is coming three days later.
The young man walked back to where he used to work. He was not given new clothes but had to wear the clothes he used when he came to the cat palace.
The clothes were so rusty and too small. Arriving at the home of her employer, it turns out two of her friends have come with their own horse.
But one horse is blind while the other is paralyzed. When Aji was asked where his horse was, the young man replied in three days to come. Of course it makes them laugh at him. Because Aji was too shabby, her employer forbade her to enter.
Aji is only allowed to live in a goat cage and lie on a straw. After three days passed, came a train drawn by six gallant horses. A waiter brings the seventh horse that belongs to Aji. A beautiful princess got out of the train. The princess is a cat who had been faithfully served by Aji for seven years.
The beautiful princess asked Aji and asked the young man to come to him. A waiter brings a beautiful dress and cleans the young man. Now Aji looks more so handsome and handsome. The princess also told her servant to bring Aji's very good horse so that the rich merchant also stated that all her property is now owned by Aji.
The beautiful princess went on to say that the horse and treasure could still be owned by the Merchant because he would take the faithful Aji to the small house he had built from silver. The house is now a beautiful palace, and everything is made of gold and silver.
Aji then married the beautiful princess and lived happily with the wealth that was so abundant until the end of his life.
