Story of the Sleeping Princess Chapter 2
In ancient times, there lived a King and Queen who had no children; this problem makes the King and Queen very sad. But one day, when the Queen walked by the river, a small fish lifted her head out of the water and said, "What you want will be fulfilled, and you will soon have a daughter.
" What the little fish predict soon becomes a reality; and the Queen gave birth to a very beautiful little girl that the King could not restrain her joy and held a great feast of magnitude. He then invited all his relatives, friends and the whole population in his empire. All the fairies in the empire were also invited so they could take care of and give blessings to her little daughter. In his kingdom there were thirteen elves and the King had only twelve golden plates, so the King decided to invite twelve fairies and not to invite the thirteenth elf. All the guests and fairies were present and after the banquet they gave their best presents to the little princess, one fairy gave goodness, the other fairy gave the beauty, the other gave the wealth, and so did the other fairies so the little princess it almost gets all the best things in the world.
When the eleventh eleven finished giving his blessing, the thirtieth elf who had not received the invitation and became furious, came and took revenge. He said, "The king's daughter at her fifteenth will be stabbed by a sewing needle and die." Then the twelfth elf who has not yet given his blessing to the Princess, comes forward and says that the curse that the thirteenth elf will bring, but he can soften the curse, and say that the Princess will not die but only fall asleep during one hundred years. The king hopes that he can save his beloved daughter from the threat of the curse and order all the sewing needles in his palace to be brought out and destroyed. Meanwhile, all the blessings given by the fairies are realized, the Princess becomes very beautiful, kind, friendly and wise, until everyone loves her.
Right at the age of fifteen, the King and Queen happened to leave the palace, and the Princess was left alone in the palace. The Princess explores in the palace alone and sees the palace's rooms, until finally she enters an old tower, which lies on a narrow staircase leading up to a small doorway.
On the door hung a golden key, and when she opened the door, she saw an old woman sewing with a sewing needle and looking very busy. "Hi good mother," said the Princess, "What are you doing here?" "Sew and embroider," said the old lady, then nodded her head. "How beautiful is your embroidery!" said the Princess, and took a sewing needle and began to embroider. But by accident he was pierced by the needle and what was foretold when he was a child, happened, the Princess fell to the ground as if it were lifeless again. As predicted that although the Princess would be pierced by a sewing needle, the Princess would not die, but would only fall asleep; The King and Queen who had just returned to the palace, along with all the ministers also fell asleep, horses in cages, dogs in the yard, doves on roofs and flies on walls, all falling asleep. Even the halting fire stalled, the roasted meat stiffened, the cook, who was pulling the hair of a child doing bad things, also fell asleep, all asleep and silent. Quickly the thorny wild plants around the palace grew and enclosed the palace, and each year grew thicker and thicker until finally all the places in had been surrounded by the plant and became invisible again.
Even the roof and chimney also can not be seen because it has been covered by the plant. But the news of the sleeping beautiful princess spread all over the land so that many of the Kings and Prince's children tried to come and try to enter the palace. But they can never succeed because thorns and sprawling plants interweave and trap them as if they are held by the hand, and eventually they can not move forward. As the years passed, the elderly told the story of a very beautiful princess, how thick the thorns of the princess's palace were, and how beautiful the palace was hidden in the thorn. He also recounted what he had heard from his grandfather first that many princes had tried to penetrate the bush, but none had ever succeeded. Then a prince who heard his story said, "All these stories will not scare me, I will go and see the Sleeping Beauty." Although the old man who had told him had prevented the prince from leaving, the prince persisted to leave.
Today, a hundred years have passed, and when the prince comes to the bushes that surround the palace, all he sees are the beautiful plants he can easily navigate. The plant closes back tightly when the prince has passed through it. When the prince finally arrived at the palace, he saw the dog in the yard was asleep, so did the horse in the palace cage, and on the roof saw a dove that also fell asleep with his head under his wing; and when he entered the palace, he saw flies sleeping on the palace wall, and the cook still held the child's hair that seemed to grimace in his sleep, as if the cook wanted to beat the boy. As he went deeper, everything was so quiet that he could hear his own breath; until he arrives at the old tower and opens the door where the Sleeping Princess is located. Sleeping Princess looks so beautiful that the Prince can not take his eyes off the Princess. The Prince then kneels and kisses the Princess. It was then that the Princess opened her eyes and woke, smiling at the Prince because the curse of the thirteenth elixir had broken. They both went out of the tower and by this time the King and Queen had awakened, including all his ministers who looked at each other in amazement.
The palace horses awoke and brayed, the dogs also jumped up and barked, the pigeons on the roof pulled their heads out from under their wings, looked around and flew to the sky; flies on the wall immediately flew back; the fire in the kitchen again flared; the cook who once held the hair of a boy and wanted to punish him continued his sentence by turning the child's ear until the child cries. Finally the King and the Queen held a wedding party for the Princess and Prince who ended with happiness all their lives.
