5 facts about PIZZA (5factsabout series ) - #4

Sorry I've been extremely busy lately. But I'll do my best to get back on track.

This post will be about PIZZZZAAAA (I'm craving it since last week hehe XD)

1- Around 1000 years ago, pizza was originally named "focaccia", it was known and loved in Naples,Italy. It consisted of dough circles, covered with herbs and spices. It was considered as a snack.

2- 350 slices per second is America's record.

3- Pizza has a number of days in the year:
September 5th - National Cheese Pizza Day
October 11th - National Sausage Pizza Day

4- Pizza was considered a peasant's meal in the 1800s. But this changed when the margarita pizza was served to the King and Queen by a baker named Raffaele Esposito who created the margarita. Astonished by the idea of having the colors of the Italian flag on the food, pizza became famous in a glance and was no longer "poor food".

5- There are plenty of "the world's largest pizza", but I chose to write about this:
In 2012, a pizza named "Ottavia" was made by a group of Italians in Rome. It was the first largest gluten free pizza as a message to show the world the importance of being healthy.
