1. When using Steemit.com in your browser, you can Google for images online, right-click on the image and "copy image address". That's the direct link to the image which you can paste in your posts wherever you'd like.

2. When using the mobile app ESteem, you can search for an image online and save it to you camera roll or copy the image address. Then you can insert the image in your post or comment via this button
