RE: Facebook, Reddit, Steem - surveillance, datamining, advertisers and privacy
The answer is simple: don't use them. Honestly, I've been practicing that for a while now and it is the most effective strategy.
I'm thinking more and more that the web (not the Internet, but the web) has been completely lost to "them", and it's time for the a web to get popular. Several blockchain projects are on this problem and while there's nothing great yet, it will come.
