Facebook is already a big pain in the ass has a social network before having Libra, in terms of security, fake news and all the worst a social media can have on it. After having its own coin the path will not be different. It will get even worst, since it will have all the information + the way you use and spend your money.
If you want to be safe, get out the 'facebook' train while you can. Because the ultimate Zuckerberg's goal is for facebook to become like wechat in China the main hub to gather everyone's information around America and Europe, so it can easily control your life and entire movements.
To this I agree. However, one can't deny that it's billion-strong user list offers benefits to creators worldwide. For many, Libra will be a direct exchange between sellers and consumers. Of course, I'm not 100% sold on FB being the middle link with transactions; but, have to admit that it is not a sinking ship as some speculated a few months ago.
