BIG Changes for Facebook Advertisers from the Zuck HimselfsteemCreated with Sketch.

IF you're on Facebook isn't even a question anymore. It's how often you're on Facebook. I literally know one person that's still holding out on creating a FB account. One!
Facebook has become as much a part of our day-to-day as eating or working...both of which often include plenty of feed scrolling.

So the announcement from Mark Zuckerberg himself about the changes in store for our feeds is nothing short of, well, pretty dang huge, technically speaking.

Bottom line: we'll be seeing less from businesses and promoted content and more from friends and family.

What stood out to me was this:
The number of times Mr. Z. used the term "well-being".
He states that his/their intent in making this change is to provide a product that enhances the well-being for all of us.

Well-being?
Really?
Let's assume that right now all paid/promoted content was gone and all we saw was what our dearly beloved were sharing. Would reading/seeing that content increase your well-being?

Sooo, comfortable, healthy, happy. Is that the effect FB has on you? More often than not people are getting depressed from seeing the highlights of everyone in their world and comparing those peaks to their own perceived shortcomings. With the vast majority of social media content being filtered to perfection, I see very little indicating that our scrolling time will ever lead to comfort, health, or happiness.

But that's just my .02.
Penny for your thoughts!
(Ha! That should actually be steemit's tagline.) 😀
