New Here, HAD to flee Facebook after being repeatedly censored.

Hello all! First post!

Obviously, I am new here.

For starters, I actually came here after investing in some STEEM Coins. When I heard they also developed an entirely new platform built on blockchain technology to compete... er... TAKE OUT the info kleptomaniac's over on Facebook, I signed up instantly!

This is why.
For over 20 years I have been working on websites, creating websites, and posting content on a various assortment of sites across the web. For the most part, I simply posted news videos, funny photos, etc. Then over the last few years, the Facebook crackdown commenced. Content that was normally LOL'd at was reported, it started off with bans for a few hours, then weeks, then months, then a year, then permanently. Why do you ask? Well, blame the news.

Over the past several years I have worked on and owned various news sites. in the process growing their Facebook Fan pages from scratch to over 500,000 followers in less than a year.

When I realized the news was making far more money than the Funny sites and I wasn't being banned as much, I focused more on that... That's when the problems arose. Not only did I end up eventually getting banned more for absolutely no reason other than people didn't agree with the NEWS videos, I actually received death threats on nearly a daily basis. When I reported them, I WAS THE ONE BANNED!

Yep, you read that right. Reporting death threats from Islamists actually resulted in me being banned. Crazy right? Well, not really. Facebook has hired an army of moderators who don't actually work at Facebook. They're merely freelance workers and constantly ban people for reasons only they themselves know. This was actually verified by numerous current and former employees in my chats after my last ban, which also resulted in both myself and my business partner losing ALL of our fan pages, over a Million fans GONE in seconds.

So, when I heard about Steemit, I jumped at the opportunity not to just sign up myself but also inviting others who I actually talk to.

With that being said, I would like to thank the creators of this platform, and I look forward to using the site to not just make some coin, but also help it grow. I would love to sit down or have a call with the owners on how they could improve the platform as well. I already see loads of opportunities.
