Stocks - Nike, Tilray, Amazon Rise in Pre-market; Facebook Slides
Investing.com - Stocks in focus in pre-market trade Tuesday:
· Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) stock slumped 2.10% as of 8:30 AM ET (12:20 GMT) after news that Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger resigned.
· Nike (NYSE:NKE) stock rose 0.87% ahead of the companies earning results, which are expected after the closing bell. It will be the company's first financial report since its controversial ad campaign featuring former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
· Ascena Retail (NASDAQ:ASNA) stock jumped 18.45% after the owner of retailer Ann Taylor reported its first quarterly rise in comparable sales since 2015.
· Tilray (NASDAQ:TLRY) stock surged 18.87% after the company announced it will distribute its CBD 100 cannabis extract to three hospitals in the state of Victoria, Australia for children suffering from intractable epilepsy.
· Google parent Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) stock inched up 0.37% after news that its Chief Executive Sundar Pichai is planning to attend a private meeting with top Republican lawmakers on Friday in response to Google's work with China.
· Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock increased 0.67% after the Daily Telegraph reported that the company made two preliminary approaches to acquire food delivery company Deliveroo.
