Overall Take From Zuckerberg Testimony - "We do not sell users information"

Zuckerberg was cordial with the Representatives in his response's, but with a Harvard degree that was expected.
He beat around the bush on some basic Company financial questions which was frustrating to hear. He weaved his way around an uneducated panel who just read questions from other less informed constituents. I think in a trial like this there is a need for young minds on the panel. One that understands the phycology of Facebook and its affects on Milenials'.
Listening to Reps. ask Zuckerberg about his competitors during their 4 minutes of questions was nauseating. Its just as upsetting as it was to listen to Mark repeat, "My team will get back to you on that" or "can you add me to that list.." ...(BLAH-BLAH).
Ultimately, what happened to Facebook and Cambridge's handling of user's information was disheartening to say the least, but for Mark to sweep it under the rug from the 87 million affected is immoral. This case is interesting and is just the first of many hearings that will be taking place at Capitol Hill.
As a user, beware that nothing in this life is free. Not even the ability to post photo's and video's. It may not cost in dollars, but it will cost in Advertisement and misuse of information. As Mark mentioned multiple times in his testimony, this Cybersecurity thing is an Arms race. We will look back on this investigation and this race for Internet supremacy similarly to our race to the moon, our endless Weapons battle, and seamlessly never ending War on Drugs.

Maybe not but he did admit that they (facebook) have bought information from third parties... and who wants a media site that censors you and (also admitted) takes down Pages, posts and profiles if the local government decides they should... Freedom of information and Data Protection are opposing Ideals... MeWe on the other hand is un-censored and like facebook bad posts can be reported... So it Self-governs! Facebook actively blocks our efforts in the Antifracking community and as such is complicit in the destruction of several highly sensitive areas. As an admin of Anti Fracking International on facebook I have witnessed this and even am now currently blocked from posting to groups.... See they are responsible for allowing the Oil industry to control the media coverage of not just Fracking but a great many other concerns worldwide.

Buying information and selling information are two different things.
There where multiple debates on who exactly is overseeing users posts, over the past few years there seemed to be a clear divide of what types of posts where taken down. One Representative suggested its the lack of Conservative employees in Silicon valley...
Either way Facebook is a private entity and has full range to delete what the deem 'unfit' I just think they need to do a better just justifying what posts to delete and which to leave up.

1 word for this case - If you are not paying for it then chances are you are the product. It is very true for All Social Media. People should treat them as such. Verify your source of truth. Judge people thru their life and how they lead it and not what so and so said. MSM also tries to sway people's view in every which way they can. Atleast facebook did not actively try to influence public opinion. Someone put the guns on Facebooks shoulder and fired.
