Tencent, who owns the Chinese social networking application Wechat, has become the world's most valuable social media company, crossing Facebook as a market value.
Wechat's proprietary Tencent, a social messaging and mobile payment application, has surpassed Facebook by raising its market capitalization by $ 523 billion, with the market value of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange rising by 2.38% a day.
