Eyelashes
Eyelashes are the hairs fringing the top and bottom of the eyes in mammals. Eyelashes located in 2-3 rows at the front edge of the free edge of the eyelids in humans. Behind them are holes racemose glands, called meibomianitis; these glands are located in a dense mass as cartilage, connective tissue that is inside the century. On the upper eyelid are from 150 to 250 lashes, they secrete oily lubrication of the eyelids, on the lower — from 50 to 150. Upper lashes lower slightly longer, averaging about 10 millimeters, while the lower length of about 7 millimeters. Function of eyelashes is to protect the eyes from dirt particles, dust, sand, and small insects.
