We hardly see women without any eye makeup or at least without an eyeliner on. Eye makeup is the most popular trend and many women including myself are so obsessed with it .

But its very important to be vigilant about few precautions regarding on how to use them in order to safeguard our eyes. I am going to discuss few tips here on eye makeup safety. Lets get started!!

➜ Stop using dried out mascara. Never moisten the mascara which is dried out with water. Since it will give a smudgy effect on your eye makeup and wouldn't work if it was a waterproof mascara. The best option is to replace your mascara every three to four months. If you find hard in remembering the date of purchase of your new mascara, mark the date on it, so that you won't use it past its shelf life. It is always a best option to get rid of your old makeup products.

➜ Products such as Kohl eyeliners should be avoided since it contains dangerous levels of lead. Stop using any eye cosmetic products if it causes any irritation.

➜Prevent doing any kind of eye makeup while driving or travelling through any means of transport. It can cause some serious injury to your eyes.

➜Clean your eye cosmetic applicators every once in a week, since there are high chances of contamination of bacteria in your applicators. It is also important to wash hands before using any eye makeup applications. You do not want any bacteria getting in contact with your eyes.

➜The most important tip here is being vigilant about the ingredients in your eye cosmetic products. Metals like arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, nickle, lead, selenium and thallium are heavy metals which can cause serious damage to your eyes.

➜Avoid applying moisturiser, foundation or concealer on your eye lids before any eye makeover. Since eyelids naturally secrete oil therefore the eye makeup can get smudgy. Always use an eye primer.

➜There are so many ways of removing eye makeup. But the two methods that i prefer doing is by using either coconut oil or makeup removal wet wipes to remove my eye makeup. But I always prefer the natural way more and that is using coconut oil to remove eye makeup. You need to gently massage in circular motion to completely remove it and use a cotton pad to wipe it off. Your eyes will feel really moisturized.

➜Our eyes tend to dry out due to continuous use of eye makeup, therefore lubricating your eyes using natural tear lubricant is highly recommended. Your eyes would thank you for that.

Eyes are the most prominent feature in our face and we need to take good care of that. ;)

Hope this post did help you guys out!!
