Temple's Fox School of Business is one of the biggest business schools in the country. In 1898, the rudimentary “College of Business” begins at Temple University. That embryonic college offering history, mathematic, a foreign language and science as courses. This sentence was the original intention record in the catalog “Business as a profession is rapidly being reduced to a Science, and the requirements necessitate a higher, broader, and more liberal business education on the part of those who would achieve success in the world of commercial activities.”

Because of the insufficient student, the early business college in Temple university abandoned. However, the intention of business school is reminded. One of the first business instructor Dr. Milton F. Stauffer was started reorganized the business course. Business courses remained under this umbrella until 1918, when Temple successfully established a separate “School of Commerce,” the predecessor of today’s Fox School of Business.
