Saut d'Eau, French for "Waterfall", It is located just off the north coast of main island of Trinidad (less than 1 km) in the Caribbean Sea. It is one of thirteen government protected wildlife sanctuaries, one of two breeding grounds for pelicans in the country. A landmark on the bay is the statue of the patron saint St Cion. However, the place now abandoned, but at one time there was a fishing dockyard, a wooden house, and a flourishing cocoa estate.
