Here ar some examples of the shape of continents in the past :
• The Eastern coast of South America and the western coast of Africa were joined. Their modern shapes could fit together like a jigsaw.
• The continents of Africa and Antarctica were also joined. There is proof of this because fossilized remains of tropical African plants and animals have been found in modern Antarctica
.
• part of California, including the city of Los Angeles, will have broken off from American. It will float north, past San Francisco on the mainland.
• African and Asia will have broken apart.
