Random exam thoughts :-)

My pen is poised above the booklet filled with papers bordered by green lines top to bottom as well as on both sides creating a margin. My head tells me my hand has been suspended over the booklet closing on 20 minutes when in reality it has just been 3 long minutes. I guess I can now affirm to the fact that time actually goes slower when you have nothing to occupy you.
I think of the times spent leading up to this moment and I sigh tiredly. No sense musing over spilt milk. I’d best set about trying to correct my mistakes. I wouldn't want to spend more time than necessary in this cursed society. I glance around, looking for my salvation from the blank spaces in my booklet only to find tired, hopeful and expectant faces staring back at me, hoping for salvation from me, salvation that I know would never come. I stare back at my booklet expecting it to have been magically filled, no such luck there.
Then I spot him 5 seats away glancing around as I had been doing, but alas he wasn't looking for salvation from his fellow men, he was looking around for deterrents to his salvation; to stand ready to conquer them for salvation was tucked right in his pockets, in a tiny folded sheet of paper nay 23 tiny sheets of papers. He catches my eye, looks right through me smiles, retrieves salvation in the form of a chip and starts downloading information needed to save himself right into his booklet. I keep staring wondering why I never brought a backup bible.
“Ten minutes left!!!” calls the invigilator.
I sigh and close my booklet. Sadly, I'll most likely be seeing another harmattan semester in the university of Uyo. Not to console myself, but a degree isn't everything.
