Everest: How a Fingerprint Can Protect Your Personal Information
How many documents does a person need to fill in everyday life? Making a loan or guarantee, getting a discount card, signing up for an appointment with the doctor, money transfer... Each platform requires registration, the security of data in online applications is doubtful, you need a smartphone and stable access to Wi-Fi for performing simple operations. Is there an easy solution?
The Everest platform offers to link all important user documents to biometric data. Scan a fingerprint - and access to medical records, financial documents, other personal data can be only opened to their owner. The technical basis of Everest is the EverID tool, which encrypts the personal data of users and stores them on the decentralized servers. Government services, supervisory authorities, and banks will be able to verify the identity of the user on a single fingerprint, without lengthy requests and fees.
How Does the Everest Platform Work and Whom will it be Useful To?
The architecture of application consists of separate nodes (decentralized servers) that store user data encrypted according to the IPFS protocol. Everest offers dozens of DApps, which can be used in online banks, shops, and payment services.
The ecosystem is built on four components.
1. INF (Identity Network Foundation) - a system for the safe transfer of the users' personal information. Data is encrypted, it can not be changed or copied by the third parties, the documents can be accessed only with a fingerprint. The developers emphasize that INF refers to non-profit organizations, the cooperation with any corporations is excluded.
2. EverID (Decentralized Identity Platform) - a peer-to-peer network for exchanging data between registered users. For example, a patient visits a new doctor and wants to show the entire medical history stored in Everest. Fingerprint scanning - and the doctor sees previous recommendations before starting treatment.
3. EverWallet – a tool for business partners who want to integrate Everest into their own system. For example, a bank introduces a biometric client identity recognition to speed up the service. The representative of the organization registers in the system, deposits tokens into the account and receives an adapted DApp, through which the clients confirm the identity without the passport scan.
4. EverChain - a decentralized application that registers all user activity on the platform. Data is encrypted and stored on the Ethereum blockchain, it is available at any time, protected from hacking, and commercial use.
The ecosystem is adapted for implementation in CRM, databases and other programs not related to the blockchain. Identification by biometric data is in demand in the sphere of telecommunications, state and banking services, insurance, medicine, and when making deals.
The task of Everest is to accelerate the exchange of data between organizations and individuals, reduce the cost of storing documents, protect the global economy from various counterfeits. Users manage data independently, choose what information to share with organizations, and also confirm their identity in a few seconds.
Crowdsale and Further Development of the Project https://everest.org/
Pre-Sale is scheduled for September 2018, a total of 800 million tokens are produced, and it is planned to raise $20 million. Most of the tokens (38%) will be implemented during the ICO and Bounty programs, 37.5% are planned to be transferred to creators, advisors and the development team. The remaining 24.5% will constitute a reserve fund for the future development of the project.
The funds raised will be invested in infrastructure (29%), integration and development (20%), legal expenses (19%), marketing and promotion (15%). Another 10% of the collected funds will cover the cost of localizing the application, 7% will be invested in attracting new customers.
The launch of the full version of Everest is planned for October 2018, the INF system will work in December, and it is planned to launch the API and multi-currency wallet in March 2019.
