Benidorm SWING Meeting II

On September 16th, every hopper and music lover who respects himself has an inescapable appointment at the Voramar Roof Terrace: we will be celebrating the second edition of the Benidorm Swing Meeting.

After the success of the last edition, it has been difficult to think about how to surpass the high standard that was left, but we believe that we have hit it.

With us will be one of the creators of Melodies Slates of Radio 3: Don Marciano Pizarro !!!!!

“Melodies Pizarras” is, more than a radio program, a work of sound archeology and public utility that rescues Terran music from the first half of the twentieth century. Genres as forgotten as the Antillean biguine of the 1940s, Haitian meringue of the 50, western swing of the 30 or Hawaiian hulas.

The brothers bring the family collection, a treasure trove of slate albums full of unknown artists, unknown songs published only in Spain and hillbilly jewels of the 20 and IBERIAN SWING of the 40’s, all of incalculable value. Our favorite head-crazy people take a walk around their legacy, world heritage, and they will play it live on Saturday (between 21:00 and 24:00) thus breaking with the bipartisan CD-Vinyl, and proving that the sound of a slate plate 10 inches equals in sound fidelity to any other medium for many years to pass (100 years in some cases).

In addition we will have again with Sabrina and Maria of Spirit of St. Louis Alicante Lindy Hop, who already were in the last edition imparting an workshop of Authentic Jazz that was of the most fun.

To continue with the tradition, both party and workshop, WILL BE FREE !!!

The Hotel Voramar offers an agape to recover strength with some tapas (tortillas, nachos, etc.) whose price will be around € 13. You can reserve it in the registration form when we enable it.

From 00 h we will continue the march with a clandestine in Benidorm. The location is still to be determined, we will inform you soon.
