Lithuania is Northern European country. One of the three Baltic States, it is located along the southeastern shoreline of the Baltic Sea, toward the east of Denmark and Sweden. It is bordered by Latvia, Poland, Belarus, and Kaliningrad Oblast.

The country has the grand Baltic coastline and a one of a kind silver of white sand known as the Curonian Spit. Lush, inland forests watch over lakes that twinkle between the pine trees, and seaside wetlands that attract migrating birds by the tens of thousands. There are about 3000 lakes and lakelets in the country and it is the center of Baltic pre- Christian mythology.
