Israel attacks Syria's air base
On Sunday, Israeli F-15 warplanes carried out the attack on Sunday, according to news agency Interfax news reports.
Interfax quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that the Israeli war planes from the Lebanese airplane carried out a series of missile attacks on the Syrian base. The Syrian Air Defense System has overrun eight of the eight missiles that have been fired.
When asked about the statement of Russia, there is no such thing to comment immediately, the Israeli military spokesman said.
Syrian state media also blamed Israel for the attack.
In a reaction to the alleged chemical gas attack in Syria, US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Syria and its ally Russia and Iran would have to 'pay big price' for it.
On that day Trump and French President Emanuel Macroon pledged 'jointly in a strong, joint reaction' to the alleged attack by a joint statement.
Syrian state media had blamed the United States for its attack on the air bases after the comments of the trump. But later they withdrew from the complaint.
On the other hand, US officials also denied to launch a missile attack.
On Monday, France's Defense Ministry official said France did not launch missile attacks in the Syrian T-Four (Taifur) airbase.
During the course of the Syrian civil war, several times Israeli army and President Bashar al-Assad attacked Israel's position on the status of civilian Shiite forces fighting.
Quoting a source from the Syrian Army, the country's state television news has said that the base was shot by eight missiles shot by the Air Defense Air Force.
Defense analysts say that a large army of Russian forces have been deployed in the Syrian base and the base is used regularly for air strikes in regulated areas.
Syrian state media said several people were killed and wounded in the attack.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based observer organization, said at least 14 people were killed in the attack, among which there are fighters of different countries.
Among the dead, it is believed that there are civilian fighters from Iraq, Lebanon and Iran, besides the members of the Syrian army. But these reports could not be independently verified, Reuters reported.
