RE: ICO Review of EOS blockchain (EOS tokens on Ethereum blockchain)

in #ethereum7 years ago

I still think Ethereum is way too early in its development for others to start trying to one-up it without a major fundamental difference. ETH gives BTC a run because of smart contracts, so the next major blockchain will need something truly new and exciting. Just doing smart contracts and dapps better than ETH isn't going to be enough until Ethereum has stagnated in development, which it's nowhere near doing.

Exactly, @tomshwom. The great thing about @dantheman is that he is so not about one-up-manship or violence. 785 currencies in the crypto market this week. May the good ones THRIVE and support each other. There is room for all good things on this planet. As Clif High says, we are building a new railroad and there is a need for rails, engines, rail stations, entertainment cars, towns, and pretty much everything you can think of. Ethereum is awesome and it will grow into itself, as will EOS. People who think small and pit these chains against each other are part of the old paradigm.

EOS has many features (permission levels and account recovery for example) which aren't going to be implemented for Ethereum. It's like a CPU vs full computer. Also note, EOS currently proposes two different VMs - WASM and Ethereum's EVM. So Ethereum contracts and tools may end up working on EOS.

Or ethereum implements eos tech. Fenbushi didn't invest in it without a reason...
