Vitalik Buterin: Genius God-man, or Still Just a Boy?

We all know Vitalik Buterin, the Russian/American programmer who created the ethereum concept, token, and blockchain.

Recently, ETH suffered a hit of up to 11% into the red, because of a rumor that young Mr. Buterin had passed away. Vitalik quickly took to social media to tweet out a picture of him with what was at the time, the most current ether block number, written on a piece of scratch paper.

Now, I personally don't trust ethereum enough to be in it. I don't hate it. I don't love it. I recognize its potential, however this whole ICO mess deters me. Many people, including myself, don't even consider ETH to be currency. That said, the ETH platform has the potential to change the world in ways beyond our current comprehension and wildest ideas. Vitalik created a platform where just about anyone with an idea, has access to building on what is potentially one of the biggest technological advances this century has seen.

All of this, "advancing humanity", comes at a price. If you are going to be the face of one of these cryptos, you're opening yourself and your organization up to attack. These attacks range from ad hominems on twitter, to ddos attacks on the ETH blockchain itself. Not to mention, the constant monitoring and programming needed to identify, and fix bugs. Not to mention, situations like the one we saw with GDAX's eth flash crash to $.10. Even though, it wasn't on the ETH team, things like exchange price crashes are very real factors in actual price at the end of the day.

Thats a lot of stress to put on any person. Genius or not, it would turn anyone's hair grey. Sure, he seems like one of those indestructible, God-Men, but he is still only 23. A boy by any measure of today's average age. However, his responsibilities far surpass those of most other people, twice Buterin's age. From creating a world changing platform, to meeting and getting the endorsement of Vladimir F. Putin. Depending on how you see the world and disseminate info, the young man is at the "round table" with the Builderburg/ Builderburgers. Is it really that surprising that the young man, doesn't look rested, or at his healthiest?

So when it comes to his looks, lets wish Mr. Buterin well, and focus on making ETH, and all it encompases an asset to humanity as opposed to a hinderance to Bitcoin. Congratulations Vitalik Buterin, if you quit today, you've already changed the world. May we all succeed in this "Brave New World".
