Is there any point in trying to send Ether from Coinbase right now ? Is it possible for them to get 'lost'?

Recently I bought some ethereum so I can participate in an ICO, but at coinbase they are having issues with ethereum.
Right now, https://status.coinbase.com/ it says there is a partial outage.
Will sending ether transactions work? Has anyone else gotten it to work? How long did it take?
I posted yesterday and after 30 hours finally got them.
Don't know if it is faster now. What I can say is it is being processed, maybe a very slow speed tho.
Dare not try now.
