European Union using Ethereum in refugee crisis

It's great to see more and more institutions come on board. Especially when it's to help with such critical topics as the refugee crisis. Having a transparent and reliable documentation of the refugee identities, accessible by all the stakeholders will help with a lot of the bureaucratic complexities and should speed up processing of refugee applications. Furthermore these identities could be used down the road to provide identification for any number of applications. What do you guys think about this approach?
