The price of Ethereum, the second cryptocurrency by market capitalization, surpassed the $ 400 barrier for the first time on Monday, touching a maximum price of $ 412.93 before falling back below this psychological mark.

At mid-morning, its price is $ 390.67 or BTC 0.14282700 per unit, accumulating an appreciation of 15.65% as seen at the time of writing. In this context, its market value surpasses 36.17 billion dollars, driven by a flow of more than $ 2 billion in transactions carried out during the last 24 hours.

This is a very interesting volume, considering that the total capitalization of the electronic currency market goes back over 112 billion dollars, of which Ethereum already represents more than a quarter.
