Shanghai Delights

So I thought I'd do a bit of "warming up" over the weekend and boy, is this city amazing!

Took a stroll along the Bund earlier. Chinese genuinely want you to take photos with them. Any excuse to practice their English. Got talking to a nice enough pair earlier and they told me all about the bridges and things like that. Watch out for the "tea" scam artists though.

Hit night club MINT Friday. Awesome place. Full of really hot girls from all over the world. All 7+ and most speak English. Recommend you guys go there. Tell them you're MINT'd from Ethereum and they'll be all over you! There's a shark tank (also includes turtles) on floor 24 and I recommend you check it out.

Really good vibe in Vue Bar tonight which sports a rooftop pool (though it appeared that none of us were brave enough to get in?) If nobody else is volunteering, I might have to do it myself tonight. Though I'd prefer if someone younger did it as us old guys have reputations and the like to be worrying about.

Anyway, so back to Ethereum... Well, Vue Bar last night was like a meetup on steroids. The chat was flowing - full attention given to Ethereum. View was spectacular - the perfect backdrop to listening to people talk about their hopes, dreams and plans for the future. You could easily believe you're on another planet looking out over the cityscape. But this is serious business after all. While everyone is happy to savour the delights that Shanghai has to offer, folks are not out late till all hours and have important preparations to have ready for Monday morning, elevator pitches fine-tuned and lots and lots of other stuff. It's a long way to come and everyone I spoke to is incredibly focussed on optimising this trip. I only got to speak to a handful of people, but sofar, I've spoken to an Argentinian, someone from South Africa, Germany, China, UK. It's a truly global get-together and it's a great privilege to be a small part of it.
