Initially, I started using Jaxx Wallet for mobile but had some issues with transaction history and syncing with blockchain networks which was really cumbersome. I started looking around for alternatives and found exodus wallet. I decided to try it out and it has been going well so far. It supports Bitcoin, Ethereum,Ethereum Classic, Litecoin and Zcash which are good enough for starters. It has a built in exchange option where cryptocurrency assets can be exchanged to each other (Network Fees included for exchange). Basically, i use it for storing cryptos but it can also be used for exchange. What you would want to do is to store or exchange to some cryptocurrency whose value is expected to increase. Cryptos having significant maket cap had major growth in value during 2017 so it comes down to your choice. I bought some bitcoin using local market and stored it in exodus. Also I have set up an ethereum mining rig which has mined 1.5 ETH so far so it is going good.

Exodus is a solid choice for storing and exchanging cryptos for beginners.

Nice, I also used Jaxx. Have heard great things about Exodus, I definitely need to give it a try.
