Halo Platform Roadmap Forced into Crypto Ditch
At a time when the crypto community is enjoy a bit of a resurgence, Halo Platform seems to be moving backwards. BTC and ETH have both made substantial gains over the past month, and several alt coins have enjoyed the ride up in valuation as well. Halo coin is doing the opposite. Launched during the ICO craze in 2017, Halo platform had an ambitious road map and a complement of talented developers to begin building it out. The problems started to reveal themselves as capital began to dry up. The developers worked feverishly on a decentralized exchange, convinced that it would be popular enough to draw users and earn an income for the platform and rewards for masternode holders. Those assumptions were wrong, and a lack of promotion, coupled with a lack of desirable coins and tokens to trade on the DEX have caused abysmally low volumes to be traded...sometimes less than 1 ETH in a 24 hour period. Most coins aside from Halo on the DEX have NO volume most days, indicating lack of liquidity and market maker activity. In short, no one is using the DEX...which makes sense. The DEX is a buggy mess and is continually being updated, but that only adds to their woes.
In the meantime, the Halo Team continues to work on a backend re-write, and on release a full centralized exchange called "Halox" on their website...but called "Pinnacle" on their discord. It will be based on the same buggy code as the DEX is, and will be competing in a sea of better financed and promoted exchanges if it ever does get released. I have my doubts though. It has been almost a year since the proposed release date was announced. Since that time, release keeps getting further away.
So what is causing the horrible valuation for Halo Coin on coinmarket cap? Lack of adoption, lack of viable unique tech, lack of promotion, lack of management, lack of enthusiasm, lack of capital. All are contributing factors, but management has to be ranked as the number one reason. These issues don't sneak up on you. You have to deliberately avoid seeing them for something to go so wrong and so badly so quickly.
I fear it's too late for Halo Platform to open their eyes and avoid going into the ditch.
