Following are the six reasons as to why Ethereum might be the next Bitcoin.
- Faster transaction time than bitcoin.
- Ether's block size aims to be ~12 seconds as compared to bitcoin that has a block size of 10 minutes. (It means that transactions get confirmed much faster in case of Ethereum)
- Applications can be built over it.
- Perfect system of Initial Coin Offering, crowd funding, trading etc.
- Makes use of smart contracts. (I will explain it in detail in another post)
- More usable.
Since there are always two sides to a coin (Pun intended) I will also mention a few reasons why Ethereum might never be the next Bitcoin.
