Aquatuning Introduces PCIe Expander for Ethereum Mining
Aquatuning has introduced a Phobya PCIe x1 to x16 extender for Ethereum miners. The device allows you to connect multiple video cards and mount a mining farm with a normal motherboard using single line PCIe slots for this.
The Phobya PCIe x1 to x16 system has its own SATA power connector. An additional connector is required for additional power because, by JEDEC standard, the PCIe x16 slot must transmit 75 watts of power.
To connect the PCIe x1 interface and the expansion card, a 60 cm long USB cable is used. In addition, to prevent short circuits during installation, the bottom of the board is covered with foam insulation.
The Aquatuning Phobya PCIe x1 x16 expansion device can be purchased at a price of 13 euros.
Recall that in September, Chinese company Colorful launched the B250A-BTC PLUS V20 motherboard, developed specifically for professional mining.
