nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 in mining cryptocurrency
I like many here I also interested in the world cryptocurrency, and I'm looking forward to the results of a recent video card from nVidia GTX 1060 production Ethereum.
And the result of the built-in test Nicehash
The algorithm daggerhashimoto card provides 20 MH/s and consumes 90 watts, memory overclocking can achieve results in 22 MH/s
In comparison with the GTX 970 which provides substantially the same results in overclocking, but with higher power consumption 140-160 watts, the novelty looks very tempting to use in farms.
How much does the Gtx 1060 cost?
i mine ethereum and i got recently an Rx 480
i think it's doing around 24 mh/s and the pc consumption at the wall is 170 watts. The Rx 480 costs around €265
I can buy gtx1060 for $ 320, but so far I think, can take yet another 970 for $ 260
actually from what I heard (haven't decided yet to buy one... because they are way too expensive compared to the previous serie), the 10xx serie doesn't do that well on ethereum (I mean compared to amd...) actually it is a bit deceiving at that level. I was hoping for hbm when they announced that serie but as long as they stay with gddr5 x( or not) and small memory bus, you can't hope for very high performance...
