Arrival Of My New Poultry Birds ( Day Old Broiler Chicks) For The Christmas

Hello everyone,

It's almost four months to the festival time which is Christmas party ,so when I think about it I came out with a good idea though stressful for some but very easy for me because it has been a regular and constant practices for me to raise birds which I derived fun and pleasure in it for a living.

Day Old Chicks with good growing quality should be selected.

• Preparation housing before the arrival of the birds : Here I won't lie to you guys, I have a way of doing mine, I kept my own birds in the house I created a space in one of my unused room. I called the room " Brooding house" I can recalled i lost several of my Day Old Broiler Chicks last year due to cold weather conditions, so I learnt from my past mistakes. And since then I have been using indoor method to brood them very well thereafter I would take them outside for the rest of their lives in a wooden cage.

Brooding : I used another indoor method to brood my Day Old Broiler Chicks. I used this method in respect for the loss I had last year so it a new good method for me which has been working so well.

Here is my brooding house for now which is very well better for me. I have everything here it is a very big room, I have the best source which is the big bulb (200Watt)

DRINKING METHOD.

I prefer using this white with red drinking trough. I bought this when I planned to purchase those birds last week. It was sold for #350 (Nigeria) which was so much higher than the price I bought it last year, things are really going up here. Even the Day Old Broiler Chicks are sold at the rate of #280 per bird. I bought them in one of the very known distributor here in ilorin, kwara state. ( Tunde & Tunde Enterprises ,along Offa garage, ilorin.)

#FEEDING METHOD .

It has been my own personal cultural practice that I feed my animals three times in a day, but for my Day Old Broiler Chicks I feed them at constant pace. Hourly and sometimes two hours interval. You know broiler birds eat and feed a lot. So I want to raise them big even more bigger.

Broilers Meat Consumption in Nigeria

The Broilers meat is mostly loved by all region in Nigeria as a whole. Everyone who who consume this particular meat do so, why? because of its nice taste, its soft tenderness and nutritive value; it is said to be high in protein and lower in caloric to some extent.
