The place was in total silence after Vincent's declaration. The knowledge of the demon king's return lays heavy on everyone's mind. Talban and the others are still unsure if they should believe the news considering that it came from the opposing side. But for some reason their hearts is telling them that it is true...
Kai on the other hand didn't feel so complected because of the news. He could till that Vincent is not lying. His only concern now is if he should take of the situation and get rid of Hydra once and for all!
Vincent eyes never strayed away from Kai. One glance is enough to know that Kai is the leader of the opposing side. He could also tell that Kai is contemplating whether to act against them or not. Honestly, the person in front of him is giving him a heavy sense of danger. Despite having more people on his side, he lacks confident that they could defeat him!
Suddenly, a name pops-up inside Vincent's head. He looked at Kai incredulously as if he discovered something very important. Fenrir! Such a thought appeared on his mind. What if the ones attacking Hydra is no other than the newly established and mysterious organization Fenrir? Delving deeper into this line of thought, such idea won't go away no matter what!
Kai noticed the small, almost unnoticeable change on Vincent's face. He got a feeling that his identity is no longer a secret. Though a bit startled, Kai isn't really that concern. So what if his identity is no longer a secret? In this situation, that's no longer an issue!
A small smile appeared on Kai's lips. Now that every important member of Hydra is on the same place, he would just get rid of them so that he could focus on the bigger threat that will soon to come.
Kai's strange smile did not escape Vincent's notice and his face cannot help but visibly blanched.
"Not good!" Vincent thought. He could not allow Kai to act against them no matter what! He is now certain of Kai's identity, and if he allowed Kai to act against them, then they have very little chance of escaping!
"Friend, please wait!"
Having no other course of action, Vincent suddenly called out to Kai, surprising everyone around him. But Vincent payed this no mind. Right now, he must do everything he could for survival!
Kai looked at Vincent with an unreadable face. He have an idea of what Vincent is going to say but decided to listen anyway.
"What is it?" He asked.
Everyone's attention were on Vincent, curious of what he is going to say. Ritters and his group are not the only ones curious but also Talban and the others.
"Friend, the demon king finally showed himself. How about we cease fighting for now? The demon king's return concerned all races in this world. Though we have our differences, we still should unite against a bigger threat!"
Vincent's rhetoric flabbergasted everyone present except Kai, who expected this scenario. A ceasefire? Is he serious? Surely he hadn't forget that his comrades and Kai's group have been trying to kill each other moments ago! yet now he wanted a ceasefire? Everyone felt that their brains is not enough to process this sudden development!
While the others were left speechless, Kai find this sudden flip of behaviour amusing. He is now 100% certain that Vincent already figured out his true identity!
"Interesting! And how do you supposed we go with this 'ceasefire'? Hmm?"
Though he could tell that Kai is mocking him, Vincent still thickened his face. The survival of his organization now rest on the outcome of this negotiation so he could not lose this chance!
Taking a deep breath, Vincent started talking...
