Last Sunday of the Year

It is the last Sunday of the year, and I am glad to spend it well.

After attending Sunday Bible study, we were invited by a dear sister in faith, who we call as "mami", to a lunch.

She served tinolang manok, using the native chickens she raised. She was in her 80s already yet as she proudly tells us that it was her who caught those chickens we were eating. She was able to outwit the elusive native chickens. Lol.

There was also ginataang aba (taro in coconut milk), using all ingredients from her backyard. Talk about organic veggies.

It was a humble lunch, nothing fancy alright. But still the loving hospitality was felt from all the effort and more than the material food prepared, it was the togetherness that made its mark.

An hour later, we changed venue and went to have snacks and bonding moment with the congregation at the resort.

After the eating, the kids enjoyed the pool. While the kids at heart were busing chatting and laughing around and eating and more chatting and still some more eating. Lol.

Dinner time.
Family decided to have Korean dinner -- samgyeopsal. And yes, it was a great way to dine, not boring since you get to cook while eating and telling stories and more eating.

So before dinner starts, i decided to post already. I would never know if i would still be able to post after dinner, or when would dinner actually end. Because having unli supply of ssam and pork belly and kimchi and samyang and soju and all those, i can never can tell.. so till my next post.
