Coffee plant is actually one of the forest plants that doesn't really like being exposed to direct sunlight. However, coffee plants do not grow wild by themselves like forest plants. This plant grows with the care and care of each coffee tree trunk, therefore, some coffee farmers use the tree cover method as an effort to protect coffee plants from direct sunlight.

The tree that has been famous as a protective tree for coffee plants is the Lamtoro tree. Lamtoro or also referred to as Chinese petai, or casket is a kind of shrub from the Fabaceae tribe. Latin plant called Leucaena leucocephala is often used in land greening or erosion prevention.
