Steemit Meet-up Numero 6 - @waybeyondpadthai & @teamsteem
After rainchecking Mo (@waybeyondpadthai) twice in a month and missing out on meet-ups with @mayasiam, @earworm, @luzcypher and @hangin, I just had no more excuses 😜 (no, I was actually busy the other times). So, I had to arrange to see Mo. This would be my 4th meet-up with her ever since we both started blogging/vlogging on Steemit in January. We met up the first time in March, just as she was starting to become a DTube regular and we bounced back/shared ideas about what we learnt on Steem as well as starting a Discord server for "Wanderlusters in Thailand" (however, it's not that active). Yet, it has been awhile since our last hangout in June when she just received her new camera (Canon M-50) and we were both trying to figure out how it works LOL.
In accordance to almost all our meet-ups, there was someone new to meet from the Steem universe... another Steem alien, but a friendly one that comes to spread love, peace and a lot of crypto knowledge (not like the ones from "Aliens" or "Mars Attack"). The Steem universe knows him better as @teamsteem. He came out to Asia for the first time and he could not have a better host than Mo showing him around Bangkok for the past week. Naturally, he fell in love... with Bangkok, Thailand and maybe Mo (but let's not spread gossip) 😜
However, the real reason he came over was to participate in the BDMS not BDSM, I know what you were thinking 🧐. It's the Bangkok Dusit Medical Service (BDMS) half marathon in Bangkok. @teamsteem had to get up/stay awake until 02:00AM to start putting on his leather mouth gag... Oops, I mean start the race. This is due to the fact it's too hot to conduct a race in the day time with the heat and humidity. He managed to finish the race in 1h30min and come in 31st place! Impressive and well done!
I met Mo and @teamsteem 12 hours after the race for a late lunch at KOKO, a Thai & Vegetarian restaurant. @teamsteem and I were clearly on the same wave length and had the vegan Pad Thai (seen below) and Mo had a Stir-fried SQUID (that's pronounced S-qui-d) dish. We discussed how we found Steem/Steemit, thoughts on different crypto currencies (Steem, EOS, Bitcoin, Whaleshare and the future of crypto). It was refreshing to hear the thoughts from a crypto enthusiastic person, who clearly knows how to navigate all the 'mumbo jumbo' out there! If anyone hasn't met @teamsteem, please do as he is "a gentleman and a scholar" as they say. A really nice guy, intelligent and good looking (if Tinder did references LOL). But, seriously, any meet-up with any Steemian is always rewarding and like every meet-up post I do, I would encourage meet-ups or hangouts with other Steemians!
The rest of the late afternoon/evening was spent roaming around Central World as they had a international fair on the ground floor (check out @waybeyondpadthai's vlog).
We said our goodbyes near the Erawan Shrine, a shrine to the God of Creation that promotes good fortune and prosperity. May that be extended to all on Steemit, to Steem and the rest of the world!
Enjoy your time up in Chiang Mai @teamsteem and it was a pleasure to meet you.
With just over a month left in Bangkok, @waybeyondpadthai I would take up on your offer for another meet-up before I leave. I'll arrange something 😊 and we shall see who is around!

Look at that smile of @waybeyondpadthai's! :D
Awesome meet up guys! :D
That's Mo, she doesn't do the ordinary! Thanks Michael for the comment! Yes, it was a great meet-up and hopefully we could meet before I leave. I'll look into doing a farewell meet-up. 😊
Hey! Hey! Hey! Why would you live? And when is that?
Coming towards the end of my studies (MBA) in Bangkok. Girlfriend (Becca) moved back to Europe, so I will follow her to ensure our relationship isn't too long distance. Thus, looking for opportunities in London or England. It would have been nice to work for a year or two here, but plans change. They might change again in the future too. Thailand is always home and I'll come back.
I leave on the 21st of December, so a month or so.
This is just absolutely amazing and awesome brotherhood! Really! When I’m in Thailand we gotta meet up man! I totally agree with you that meeting a steemian in real life is truly something else
Winny out... for now 😉

Thanks Winny! It's also refreshing and gives you a renewed interest in Steemit after these meet-ups. Well, if you are coming to Thailand in the next month then for sure, but I'm heading back to Europe for good at the end of the year. There will be visits back to Thailand, but just for holidays (for now). If you ever find yourself in England in 2019, let me know 😊
Oh damn!! Ur going back to England for good? Wow! Fed up with Thailand?? HOW DARE YOU!! 😜 my mum is actually marrying an English guy real soon and perhaps when I’m in England I can visit you 😉
Winny out... for now 😉

Mixture of more opportunities over there, girlfriend is in Europe and weary of the Thai military service call-up as I will no longer be a student.
Not fed up of Thailand, I'll miss it for sure and you never know with the future whether I'll have another go living here.
Congrats to your mum! Sure, just let me know when you come over. I'll see where I am and when I'm available. Got no clue of where I'll be or what work I'll be doing as of now... Its exciting and scary!
You just chose the one I got the ugliest smile!!!! lololol Glad you finally made it to meet the fellow steemies! Do it do it the farewell thingy! :)
Lol, you did the smile 😜. The other photo was blurry, so no choice hahaha
Sure I'll brainstorm some ideas and check out different places.
