MACAN Museum reopened during Idul Fitri holidays

Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (MACAN) reopened to the public today, Tuesday (19/6/2018) after Idul Fitri holiday.

Previously, the museum was closed for a while starting from 15-18 June 2018.

With the re-opening of MACAN Museum would be good news for Jakarta residents who want to enjoy the rest of Idul Fitri holidays.

As is known, the time of leave with Idul Fitri holiday this year is still valid until June 20, 2018.

For admission tickets, you can buy them for Rp 100,000 per person for adults, Rp 90,000 for students and the elderly, and Rp 80,000 for children.

With the price, you can see 130 artworks belonging to Yayoi Kusama with the theme of the exhibition "Life Is The Heart of A Rainbow."

Yayoi Kusama himself is a Japanese artist identical with the use of polkadot, net, and pumpkin forms in each of his works. Various paintings, sculptures, videos, and Infinity Mirrored Rooms creations have penetrated global pop culture from 1950s until now.

At his exhibition at the MACAN Museum, one of Yayoi's many admired works is The Spirit of The Pumpkins Descended The Heavens. The work is a room filled with a yellow-black polka-dot form.

The Obliteration Room itself is a room like a house. There is a kitchen set complete with stoves and other accessories, sofa, study table, toys for children.

However, what makes this room special is that visitors can attach colorful stickers polkadot shaped on all sides of the room are all white. In addition, this room also looks instagramable with the colorful stickers.

To note, Yayoi Kusama's works will be displayed at the MACAN Museum until September 9, 2018. The museum itself is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
