A poem on father
Fathers hold you when you have terrible dreams
What's more, they comfort you when all is lost it appears.
Fathers show you to spill a b-ball and shoot a free toss
What's more, they lead you as you develop.
Fathers show you how to drive an auto
Furthermore, they attempt to show you how to putt for standard.
Fathers wipe the tears of your broken heart
What's more, they hold your hand when you don't know how to begin.
Fathers test the young men who take you out on the town
What's more, they admonish those young men who bring you home late.
Fathers convey you on their shoulders when you're too little to see
Furthermore, they look as you laugh when they bob you on their knee.
Fathers stretch out their feet to you when they show you how to move
What's more, they generally give you another opportunity.
Fathers hold up in the wings while you begin your own life
What's more, they appeal to God for a spouse to make you a wife.
Fathers walk you down the passageway on your big day
However, fathers never truly give their daughters away.
