The government continues to try to train and certify the citizens built throughout Indonesia to be empowered as construction workers. It is hoped that these trained workers can help countries to be empowered in the international market.

"If we produce 100 construction workers today, the workforce will increase, not only in the regions, but also in the international market," said Sharif Burhanudin, Director General of Construction at the Ministry of Public Works, in prisons I Class Cipinang, Jakarta, Monday / 7).

He recounted, a few days ago he had visited Boyolali and saw the training of construction workers involving the targeted citizens, and now entered the 9th generation. "Forces 2 and 3 are now working in Saudi Arabia, so proof of our workforce can be sent abroad," he said.

However, Syarif stressed, not forever the inmates who attended this training can pass and get a certificate. He appealed to the targeted citizens to continue seriously during the period of technical guidance.

In the future, it will continue to visit many prisons in various corners of the archipelago to be able to find inmates who can be trained as a reliable construction worker in building the country.

"We are no longer waiting, but we will immediately check where construction is going and we will come there to do the training," said Syarif.

Previously, the Directorate General of Construction of the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) in cooperation with the Directorate General of Correctional Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) held a construction service skills training for 100 inmates of Cipinang First Class Correctional Institution (Jakarta).

This cooperation aims to provide training and technical guidance to the targeted citizens who have undergone two-thirds of the detention period, the clients who get the conditional free conditions, as well as the prison officers. So that the assisted citizens and officers have the ability in the field of construction services.
