Rossi Not Jealous Zarco Shown Charmingly Over Weekend in Jerez

JEREZ - Unsatisfactory results must be obtained by two Yamaha Movistar Team riders, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales, for two days undergoing testing at Jerez Circuit, Spain. However, Rossi is reluctant to be jealous of the results obtained by Yamaha satellite rider Johann Zarco (Yamaha Tech3), which is statistically better than him.
At the time of free practice session, both Rossi and Vinales more often struggling in the middle board. The best result obtained by Rossi in the previous two days was during one free practice, where he finished sixth. While Zarco, although in free practice one only occupies seventh position, but the next he was able to compete in the front ranks.

Zarco's slick appearance at the Jerez Circuit continued into the qualifying session, where he was able to finish in third place. As for Rossi, the driver nicknamed The Doctor was only able to finish in 10th position during qualifying, while Vinales is a strip beneath it, aka the 11th place.
Responding to these conditions, Rossi explained that Zarco has a smaller body and slimmer than himself, so not too give a burden on the bike tires and appear more slick. In addition, Rossi also mentioned that Zarco's racing style is different from him, so he considered it is not surprising if the French rider perform better.
"In general, it looks like he (Zarco) puts little pressure on his tires. It is also about the size (body), he is leaner and smaller. This is interesting because every racer has a different style. Furthermore, the 39-year-old explained that it is difficult to understand the best set-up he will use in the race at Jerez. Because the set-up on Rossi motor will depend on the conditions of the track that can be very hot.
"To understand the best set-up is a difficult thing because it looks like the temperature is as high as it is today. With more than 40 degrees on the ground, it will not be easy. There are a lot of fast riders and maybe we should compete not to fight for a good position, "said Rossi.
